PHENTERMINE
Phentermine, a contraction for “phenyl-tertiary-butylamine”, is an appetite suppressant of the amphetamine and phenethylamine class. It is approved as an appetite suppressant to help reduce weight in obese patients (BMI over 25) when used short-term and combined with exercise, diet, and nutritional counseling. It is typically prescribed for individuals who are at increased medical risk because of their weight and works by helping to release certain chemicals in the brain that control appetite.
HOW IT WORKS…
Phentermine, like many other prescription drugs, works with neurotransmitters in the brain. It is a centrally-acting stimulant that stimulates neuron bundles to release a particular group of neurotransmitters known as catecholamines; these include dopamine, epinephrine (also known as adrenaline), and norepinephrine (noradrenaline). . The neurotransmitters signal a fight-or-flight response in the body which, in turn, puts a halt to the hunger signal. As a result, it causes a loss in appetite because the brain does not receive the hunger message. Generally, Phentermine appears to be relatively well tolerated. It can produce side effects consistent with its e.g., tachycardia (increased heart rate) and elevated blood pressure, but the incidence and magnitude of these appear to be less than with the amphetamines. At Juventis MedSpa, we have created an Advanced Skin Rejuvenation Program utilizing eMatrix™ (Syneron®’s unique Sublative Rejuvenation™) along with a Proven Enhancement Technologies to go beyond traditional fractional methods for skin resurfacing. We can significantly improve the look and texture of your skin with little or no downtime!
After treatment with eMatrix™, most patients showed improvement in facial parameters such as skin brightness (83%) and skin smoothness/wrinkle reduction (90%). Journal of Drugs & Dermatology, March 2009. Now we can give you even BETTER results with our proven Enhanced eMatrix Treatment and it's FDA Approved.
How does Sublative™ work?
The ergonomic Sublative™ applicator delivers bipolar radio frequency energy via a matrix of 64 electrodes in the disposable applicator tip. The RF energy generates fractional deep dermal heating in the region of the electrode matrix to induce skin injury, thus eliciting a wound healing response. Mild to moderate wrinkles and superficial skin discoloration are reduced, and skin texture becomes more smooth and elastic.
Who should be treated with Sublative™? Treatment is a safe and effective solution for all skin types.
When can patients expect to see results? Post treatment, they may notice tone and texture improvements as a result of increased levels of beneficial collagen and new healthy skin cells which are produced. With the treatment's dermal impact, mild to moderate wrinkles and superficial skin discolorations are reduced. Typical treatment protocol is 3 treatments, 4 - 6 weeks apart. The total number of required treatment sessions depends on the skin condition of the patient.
How is the Sublative™ treatment tolerated by patients? During treatment, many patients feel a warm, prickly sensation as energy enters their skin. After treatment a pink or red "sunburn" appearance and feeling is also common. Topical anesthetic ointments and cooling are often used to reduce discomfort during treatment.
What are the cleaning guidelines for the disposable treatment tips? The treatment tip will need to be cleaned every 25 pulses. The system will stop pulsing and ask that you clean the treatment tip. The tip should not be removed but rather wiped down with a gauze pad moistened with 70% alcohol.
Fractional Microdelivery Technology provides unparalleled collagen production. Recently awarded the BEST ANTI-AGING DEVICE at the Aesthetic Show in Las Vegas, this unique microneedling device creates new collagen below the skin by (1) triggering the release of the growth factors for new epidermal growth (2) stimulating production of collagen III, IV and I, and elastin for firm tight skin and (3) tissue remodeling to remove or reduce discolorations, fine lines and wrinkles and scarring. 4-6 treatments in 3-4 week intervals are recommended.
Dermapen® advantages
No cross infection - disposable needles.
Speed - faster than manual MTS.
Shorter treatment times.
Adjustable needle depth.
Less pain.
Lightweight hand-piece.
No side effects.
The first phase begins with the release of the bodies growth factors and the further cascade of new epidermal growth, fibroblast chemo-taxis, fibroblast proliferation and matrix production. This proliferation of the body's tissue continues to release growth factors from fibroblasts, keratinocytes and monocytes culminating in the second of three phases of CIT mechanics where collagen III, IV and I, elastin, proteoglycans, GAG’s and angiogenesis occur. The last phase of CIT and the Dermapen treatment results in the tissue remodeling process where the skins vascular matrix matures and skin tightening as well as new collagen can be seen. The body’s ability to remodel and heal itself is at the heart of this amazing product and because the process never involves heat or thermal energy or other chemicals or unnecessary trauma, the skin can quickly heal with almost zero downtime.
POST-TREATMENT EXPERIENCE You will look as though you have a moderate to severe sunburn and your skin may feel warm and tighter than usual. This is normal and will subside after 1 to 2 hours and will normally recover within the same day or 24 hours. Your practitioner will prescribe a Dermapen approved post-procedure skincare.
